Our hosting plans start at 1GB (1000MB) of disk space. Other plans include even more disk space. Pricing for additional disk space, available in 100MB or 1GB chunks, can be found here.

Disk usage in excess of what is included with your hosting plan and any additional space that you have purchased separately is billed at 25 cents ($0.25) per megabyte, based on maximum usage in a month.

Your current disk usage is always shown in your My Account.

Your disk usage total includes all files owned by you, any logs in your /logs directory, all messages in your mailboxes, and all space used by your databases.

System files (/bin, /lib, /var, etc) are not included in your total disk usage calculation.

There is also a separate, 1GB limit on each mailbox. If your mailbox exceeds this limit, you will not receive any more email until you are back under 1GB. A detailed break-down of each mailbox in your account can be found here by clicking on the 'see current breakdown' link.

All our hosting plans come with a static IP address for your domain. This static IP address is shared, meaning that other domains we host will resolve to the same numeric IP address. This makes no difference to modern browsers and helps us save resources and continue offering low rates.

If it is important to you to have your own unique IP address that is not shared with any other domain and is not a "virtual host", we can do that for an extra $15/month.

Yes, for all our basic hosting plans. Use our signup form to create an account for yourself. If within 30 days, you determine that you are not satisfied, just contact us and we will remove your account and bill you nothing. If you do have problems, let us know so we can try to help.

If you decide not to cancel within 30 days, then your first invoice will bill you as of the date you signed up.

Our physical offices are in the same building as our datacenter. The datacenter is a carrier class facility engineered and constructed to the highest standards and equipped with HVAC environmental control systems, state of the art smoke detection and fire suppression systems, conditioned AC and DC power systems backed up by generators and 24 x 7 secured entry.

Scalable & Reliable Server Architecture

Our servers are Xeon and Opteron-powered servers connected by fiber optic cable to the disk subsystem which is an EMC Clarion Storage Area Network of 10,000 rpm fiber channel drives. All systems run on clean power provided by APC Symetra battery power systems for power protection and redundancy to the backup power generator that automatically activates within 30 seconds of a power outage and can run our entire facility indefinitely.

Historically, our uptime has been well over 99%! To keep you informed, we provide real-time system status reports at http://gowebsystems.com/status.cfm. The status page is hosted at a different data center for perspective from outside our network.

How and when is system status calculated?
The uptime data is collected and calculated by a third-party service as a host and service monitoring tool we use to monitor availability and performance of all network services. Each service is checked every five minutes, and if any service fails or responds more slowly than established tolerances (and automated recovery scripts are not able to resolve the issue), Go Web technicians are automatically alerted via email and cell phone.

On our shared hosting servers, we make daily backups of your website files and database data. However, we may exclude accounts or directories that contain more than 10,000 files, as well as directories with certain names such as tmp, temp, cache, or mls.  Your email is backed up as well.

If you use IMAP or Webmail to access your email, rest assured that all mailboxes are backed up.

All backups are kept for approximately 5 days. Older backups are regularly deleted.

For customers on our shared system, there is a service fee of USD $85.00 per incident for restoring from backup. If you want something restored, please contact us.

In addition to our routine backups, we advise that you maintain your own backups as you see fit.
