Can I send out emails to my customers? Yes, you would use the mailroom to send emails to your customers. The mailroom is striaght forward and easy to use, there are two types of emails you can send, text emails and HTML emails. |

How do I install ActiveListing? Unzip the archive into an available web-browsable directory on your system You will need to know the following information: -- System datasource from the coldfusion administrator -- Datasource username/password (optional) -- Database owner (usually just "dbo") -- Database Type (currently: MySQL, MS SQL and MS Access) -- SMTP Server (check with your system admin) -- SMTP Server Port (check with your system admin) Open up the Application.cfm files in both the root of the site and the one found within the /admin/ folder and run through the installation process. Once complete, open up your site in a web browser. |

Can I Brand the ActiveListing with my own logos and information? Well, Yes and No... Go Web Systems requires that you leave the copyright information and the Go Web Systems / ActiveListing logos and wording in the console. If you wish to have your own logo, and reference to a different name other than ActiveListing, you will have to purchase an additional license for branding. Please contact us to distribute ActiveListing without the branding feature. So unless you purchase the additional branding license, you cannot change the logos, text links or references to Go Web Systems or ActiveListing. Can I add more than one image to a listing? Yes! You can add your as many images as you like to each listing. You can also set which image you wish to be the default image of the listing. Plus you can choose which order the images appear in to the end user. |

How many listings does ActiveListing Support? ActiveListing is unlimited in its number of listings support. You can add as many listings to the database as you wish. It is recommended that if your site is going to contain a large number of listings (over 100), that you run on MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server instead of Microsoft Access. There are too many possible problems that Microsoft Access can run in to, so we always recommend the robust MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server. Most hosting companies offer MySQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server Databas with their hosting plans and it is fairly inexpensive. Go Web Systems hosting offers support for all three databases. |

What version of ColdFusion does SiteDirector support? ActiveListing v3.0 supports all the MX versions. It was developed on CFMX 6.1 and tested on the latest versions of MX. Note: ActiveListing will probably and more than likely run on CF 5.0 and below. However, we have not tested the application on these versions and cannot guarantee the results. |

Is ActiveListing International? Does it support international listings? Yes, ActiveListing will work internationally and has been sold all over the world. The software will allow you to show currency in your country's format. Geocoding (acquisition of latitude and longitude coordinates) is available with both US addresses and UK postcodes. When installing ActiveListing, the currency symbol is part of the parameters that you may modify and you would choose your currency symbol based on that setting. |
